My name is Ryan Jordan, and I am a software developer from Southern Illinois. I have a degree in biochemistry and international studies. My professional interests encompass everything from artificial intelligence and quantum computing to cyber-security and algorithmics. To date, much of my experience has been in web development, as one can see in my projects Petsy and JavaScript Pool, but in working on web projects, I have developed a strong affinity for backend architecture and optimization of the web server API, as this is where efficiency can make the largest difference in load times and UX. Another of my projects, RailsLite, is a Ruby framework that implements much of the features of Rails, and led me to study the ins-and-outs of everything from HTTP request processing and response to building a Ruby program that can interface with a SQL database and implement an MVC architecture.
